What is this?

For me, being the character, being inside their head, knowing the way they move, seeing the world through their eyes, is easy. It seems I just slip in and out of their skin. I can write things that I would never say and have NO idea where they come from but it just makes sense that Caine, for example, says whatever the heck he wants however he wants. I’m more reserved. And then there are characters that you really don’t want to walk around in their heads. Deep, dark places where your shadow is your only companion and even it sticks close to your side for fear of being swallowed. And it’s sometimes hard to come back from that place. They linger with you no matter that they’re fictional.
I never know where my stories are going to take me or how the characters are going to grow. I don’t know how I can love some and loathe others. They’re all part of me so I guess that makes sense. This blog is an attempt to give the characters free rein to say(or not say) whatever they want. Maybe it’ll explain parts of the story that I have to gloss over, maybe they’ll unknowingly reveal a side of them you, or I, never saw coming. Who knows? I don’t.
I never do.
That being said the format will be something like banter back and forth between the character and me(the therapist). A ton of people have probably done this before or are doing it. But I’m mashing that all together and making it my own. When I note something down on my clipboard it’ll look like this:
Subject refuses to talk about their past.
That will hopefully make it easier to follow. Lord knows the chatter is my head is distracting. And no, dear sweet sister, I don’t have split personalities!![]()

This is really cool, I like how the characters are so comfortable while talking to this person, it’s hilarious

Thanks Tessa! Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you! I was away on a mini-vacation!
Anyways, I love how free they are with the ‘”therapist” as well!
