“I just don’t understand why we have to hunt this guy down! It’s not necessary. Supposedly Caine has aligned with the vamps. Do you really think that we’re going to be able to take all of them down? It’s crazy!”
“Lloyd, calm down. And lower your voice,” Dedrick snapped. “It’s not your place to question Odin.”
“Really? Someone has to question him. It’s madness.”
Shifting in her chair Nona opened her mouth to say something but Dante pressed back against her. “Let them talk Nona. Rameriz is only saying what most of us are thinking. I’ve known Odin for years but…” His shoulder blades bumped her knees when he shrugged. ”I don’t like it.”
“We would all die for him, for a worthy cause, but is this cause it? He’s alpha over us! He’s loco if he thinks he has any chance again Caine and his followers.” Lloyd’s dark brown eyes narrowed. ”Unless he knows something and he’s just not telling us?”
“Damn it Lloyd! Lower your voice!” Dedrick hissed. “Odin and Jenna have just arrived.”
A tense silence filled the room.
Looking through the grimy window Nona could see Odin and Jenna making out. She was in heat and those two were seriously trying for a pup. What was an alpha without a pup anyways? Sure, there wasn’t a guarantee that the pup would be alpha of the pack but it upped the possibilities of the pack being ran by one bloodline. So far only the Lancasters had achieved that distinction.
She looked down at the top of Dante’s head. They had recently mated, she had the bite mark in a very private place to prove it, but they hadn’t had a chance to celebrate. Not with Odin calling meetings and snapping out orders. As if Dante felt her gaze he tilted his head back and winked at her.
“When this is all over you and me are gonna go somewhere nice and quiet where you can be naked all day.”
She cocked and eyebrow. ”I won’t be the only one naked babe.”
He growled. ”You got that right.”
When Odin walked in her brother went to stand behind him as was his custom. She took note of the blank look on his face and knew he was questioning Odin’s motives as well. But he would never voice those doubts. Not unless Odin betrayed him.
Odin crossed his arms before inhaling deeply then looking each of them in the face. ”I smell a faint tinge of anger. Why is that?”
Lloyd shifted as if he were about to speak up but Nona quickly interrupted. ”We’re all worried about Vivian. She usually reports in every few days, a week at the longest, but we haven’t heard from her since the end of April.”
“It’s only the beginning of May but…you’re right. Something must be wrong.”
“I can go out and look for her O. I don’t have anything on my plate right now and-”
“No Dedrick. You and I have things to discuss. We should let the newest member of our pack show his loyalty.”
Everyone turned to look at the man who had, up to this point, tried to make himself as inconspicuous as possible.
“And allow him to make up for past mistakes.”
“And who knows,” Jenna said cheerfully. ”You spending time alone with her may bring about the mating you want so badly.”

Haha, I love Ulrich, he’s so annoying, and the way he bounces off the other characters is really entertaining.
Gosh, I hope Nikita has gone to the good side for real, since she seems to be pretty good at double-agent type things… I guess Rho would probably know that though.
I hope they don’t beat the crap out of Dom or anything, she could probably help them against Ethan, especially since she’s left him now.

You mean Vivian? Nikita never did the double age thing. Nik was the one who wanted to kill Vivian here. She doesn’t play around.
I don’t think Rho would let them beat Dom up. At least not until he had information out of her!
He’s really thorough like that which makes Victoria’s betrayal that much harder for him to take.
Not all the members of the Southerland pack will listen to Odin. Just saying…

Ulrich (why did I write this as Ulright =_=) made me laugh, and Caine as well. XD ‘Tis a bit of a sticky situation for them, though, both Ethan and Odin planning their moves on them right now. They really sodding lucky Rho is looking out for them.
I hope you’ll be able to slap your computer into submission eventually! Rho on the couch is definitely something I’d love to read.

OMG! I need Caine and Alana to do it already. The sexual tension is killing me LOL! But I guess making sure that Odin and Ethan don’t kill them is a bit more important right now. Looks like his alliance with Rho and his vampire crew is right on time. I really want him to get his hands around Ethan’s throat. Killing his father and messing with his woman…it’s time Caine took him the hell down.
I hope your computer decides to act right soon because an on the couch with Rho would be very telling.

Well, at least they’re aware of the Ethan/Victoria alliance now, even if it does throw a wrench in their plans. The Southerland pack sure is comprised of some interesting characters, just like the group of vamps. I wonder what’s going to happen when they find out the truth about Vivian–and why hasn’t she been reporting to her pack, I wonder?

Indeed. But they don’t know anything about Odin so that’ll be a surprise I’m sure! And they are interesting. A ragtag group of people who made a pack and now I’m slowly watching it kinda fall apart! Hrmm…we’ll see why she hasn’t been reporting. I’m pretty sure Nolan keeps an eagle eye on her. Plus with the whole memory thing Rho put her through had to throw her for a loop!

It looks like every one has some kind of agenda. I feel like Alana hasn’t seen the worst of what might happen to her. Even with Caine’s intentions of keeping her safe as well as Rho and his guys/gals, it is hard to know who to trust and she will end up caught in the middle.

Everyone does have an agenda. Whether they all get the outcome they hope for remains to be seen! And no, she hasn’t. I think she’s still shell shocked and doesn’t know how to react. Once she thinks on it…yeah! But she’ll definitely end up in the middle!

Oh wow. Oh very wow. Everyone’s coming after Caine and Alana! It’s like their celebrities getting stalked by the paparazzi except this time round no amount of restraining orders will keep them safe. Which makes me feel sad. And OMG for when they finally get physical – talk about passion and such. But yeah like Gayl said Alana really doesn’t know what the worst will be. Death most likely? A broken arm if lucky? The whole rape thing was just the tip of the iceberg after all. And then there’s still the issue of her daddy.
(PS. Oh no for your computer – I hope you find the problem and it gets fixed. This is why technology has it’s downsides… but then you read an update of Lycan Tales (and various other simfics) and it all becomes fine

Ha! That’s one analogy that I hadn’t thought of! Although I think Caine would be the kind of celebrity to rip the camera out of the photogs hands and smash it to the ground. He would NOT make a good celebrity! But you’re right. Nothing will keep them safe until Ethan and Odin are taken down. When they get physical it’ll be PHYSICAL!
And you’re right. They’re clueless about what can happen.
