“Are you okay Alana?” Nolan asked gently as he crouched down in front of her. She curled up into herself and turned her face away from the body lying next to her.
“Did I…did I kill him?”
“Yeah, yeah you did. You should be proud. You handled yourself well. You-”
“I killed him?” she repeated in a small voice.
“Yes, you killed him. You wouldn’t have had to if you would have stayed at the house. AS I REQUESTED!!!”
Nolan flinched while Alana edged backward. She wanted to look at him, she could feel the force of his eyes on her, but then she would have to see the body. The bodies. A coppery taste laced her mouth as she rubbed it with the back of her hand. Looking down she saw the blood smears and the scratches that were slowly healing. Her stomach heaved.
“Don’t you realize the danger that you put her in Nolan? The danger you put yourself in? This isn’t a fucking game! Ethan will do anything, any-fucking-thing to get to me. Jesus Christ! I asked one thing from you and-”
“Now is not the time Duncaine. Take the car and allow your mate some rest. I believe she’s earned it. There’s a residence programmed into the GPS. Go there and await us. It’s too dangerous to have all your pack together. I shall find a place for them all. Charge the phones that are there. It may be a few days before we’ll be in touch but we will be in touch.”
“Alpha-” Nolan subsided when Caine’s upper lip curled.
“Go Caine. We shall clean the mess up here and properly destroy the vampyre body.”
Caine caught the keys Rho tossed at him then, before she could protest, tossed Alana over his shoulder.
“Do you think he’ll ever forgive me?” Nolan asked as he threaded his hands through his hair.
“Do you think you deserve his forgiveness?”
There was a small silence before Nolan shook his head. “No, no I don’t.”
“And yet, he will forgive you. In time. Now come, help us clean up the mess you helped make.”
“Yes, please help so I’m not the only one doing anything!”
“You look as if you’re doing a fine job to me boy-o!”
Nolan looked up when he heard a cigarette being lit. The man cocked his eyebrow at him before holding it out. “Want a puff?”
“You have no idea,” he muttered.
“Caine! It wasn’t Nolan’s fault! I’m the one who suggested it! If you want to be mad at someone be mad at me.”
“Oh I am princess! I am.”
She stiffened when she felt claws scratch her butt before he he tossed her lightly into the car.

Well you’d think that there would be a room full of naked lycans after a victoriously bloody battle scene where they were bum rushed by a murderous vampyre and his bloodlusting lycan goons- make sense right? Its not like had time to rubberband a change of clothing to them in anticipation of a change to come (sorry, don’t tell anyone I actually read New Moon
Needless to say that scene was so chock full of yummy Caine and Alana goodness I just can’t stand it! It was all I needed, for Caine to come in and handle his business and more! I am already laughing at the very thought of Alana’s reaction to what just took place. And she’s naked. That is going to be the scene right there 
Also I lol’d at the fact that Ulrich and crew rolled up on the chaos at hand and had a front row seat on the action. Faces pressed up to the car windows. LOL. Fight! Fight! I could just hear the popcorn crunching. I mean we know that they were there to back Caine up but after a minute or so, they were like ‘Ok, let’s get in on this one ya’ll’. Hilarious .

LOL!! Oh man! You made it to New Moon? I couldn’t even finish reading Twilight! The movie was alright(although I did try to watch it a second time and no dice) but the book? Not so much! And yeah…no clothes on hand for them!

The whole chapter was fantastic, really dramatic, the fight was written perfectly and Caine’s anger was tangible… the vampire got what he deserved…. I wouldn’t want to be on Caine’s enemies list… he sure is scary when he is all mad and crazy… I can’t wait for him to face Ethan…

I finally caught up!!
I’ve been meaning to catch up to this and RG for a while now but with school in my way (English teacher drowning the class in homework!)I couldn’t really, but I’m doing it now for my free time!
This is great, and I wonder if Cain got through the Alana was naked and he didn’t do anything about it, LOL!
But I guess he was just too mad to get that, but maybe later, lol!
I feel bad for Nolan because I know he was trying to help and what he tried to do back fired and I bet he feels like the biggest crap now!
When Cain killed the vampyre it was kind of suspenseful! I thought he was actually going to let him go until that happened!
