City limits of Hillcrest in front of Club Asylum. May 1, 2009. 0200 hrs
A soft laugh made Alana and Nolan whip around to see a man leaning causally on the taxi. “Well, if this isn’t my lucky night. Pretty easy to get you here. Without that nose you Lycans aren’t much are you?” he sneered. The Lycan on the hood growled out a warning. Nolan’s boot scrapped the ground as he stepped in front of her.
“I will go through you to get to her. You’re just an added bonus. It’s the bitch I want. Ethan has a hefty reward on her head…not to mention the pleasure of mating with her.”
Alana shuddered as he looked over Nolan’s shoulder at her and licked his lips. She caught a flash of fangs and swallowed dryly. Nolan stepped back until his back was against her chest. She could feel the vibrations of his silent growls.
“Stay behind me Alana. No matter what. And remember the plan.”
“Right.” She didn’t know if she had gotten the word out. Her throat was constricted with fear.
“Oh goody. The Lycan has come out to play. Are you going to challenge me for her? I do so love a good fight, but I hate to bleed. Come, I think I have more then enough friends to entertain you while she and I get acquainted.”
Two more Lycans came around the taxi and snarled at Nolan. The light caused their incisors to glow red. As if they were already covered in blood. Nolan stood on his hind legs and let out an ear splitting howl as he batted his paws at them.
Alana’s heart was in her threat but she got into a fighting stance. It might not do any good but she wasn’t going to go down without a fight. No way, no how.
She glanced around. Where had the vampyre gone? She didn’t dare take her eyes off the Lycans that were surrounding them. She let out her own snarl when they suddenly leapt at Nolan and began to tear into him. She bounced on the balls of her feet before racing forward.
“Get away from him!” she snapped as Nolan let out a yelp. Rearing back she placed all the energy she could into her leg and grunted when her boot connected solidly with the Lycan’s side. Thank God, Nolan had wanted her to wear these boots, she thought as she watched the Lycan sail through the air with satisfaction. He landed in the middle of the street and laid there for a moment before staggering up.
“Oh no you don’t,” she whispered charging out after him. She let out a yelp when a hand grabbed hold of her arm and spun her. She was suddenly flying through the air like a disc.
She tried to put her hands in front of her face as the wall came rushing at her then let out a scream when the bones in her wrist snapped from the force that she had been thrown. The right side of her face burned from where it had scrapped against the pavement. She laid on the ground trying to breathe through the pain. A shoe jabbed her in the side.
“Why can’t we all just get along huh? You’d make such a fine wife. Wouldn’t you like that? I’d take you away from the squalor in which most of the Lycans live.”
She cringed when she felt him move but he only brushed a few strands of hair away from her face. He tsked.
“I wouldn’t hurt you.” She snorted out a laugh and his voice lost the lulling tones he had been speaking with.
“But I will if you force me too.”
She could hear the sounds of flesh being torn into and smell the heavy scent of blood in the air. She looked over her shoulder to see the man crouched down beside her. She slowly sat up.
“What’s your name?” she asked dully as she bit the inside of her cheek as her wrist began to throb. She wished it had stayed numb. She glanced over at the Lycan who was snarling at his side. The same one she had kicked. The vampyre stood and held out a hand to help her up.
“My name is Franklin. I think we will be well matched Alana.”
She stared at the pale hand before her as her vision began to blur. She blinked and shook her head. “You think so huh?”
Looking behind him her eyes widened as she saw a Lycan bite into Nolan’s side. He let out a howl as he was shaken back and forth before the other two joined in. When they broke away Nolan was laying motionless in the middle of the sidewalk. Franklin snapped his fingers in her face.
“Your poor friend risked his life to save yours. Don’t let it be in vain.”
“How come no one can hear all of this?”
“It’s easy enough to instruct them to stay inside, to drink more, to be merry. Humans are weak creatures.”
Ignoring his hand she placed her good hand on the wall and slowly stood up. “You think so?”
He pointed a finger at her. “I know how easy they are to manipulate. I’ve been doing it for centuries.”
She wheezed out a laugh. “Centuries? I think you’re too old for me.”
“I can make you live forever. Would you like that?”
What she would like to do was wipe the smirk off his face. As she stood there, battling the urge, a current seemed to race through her body. Unexpected but not unwelcome. She relaxed her body.
“I think-” A movement over his shoulder made a relieved smile cross her face. “I think,” she said as she looked away and took a step backward. “That there isn’t enough hours in the day to tell you how much I would thoroughly detest becoming anything like you.”
“Why you little-”
I know, I stretched the meaning of the prompt. It was really more like there’s not enough lies anyone can tell her to make her be what she’s not. Or something like that! And short prompt(for me)! YAY! I figured it would make up for the huge prompt from a few days ago. Also, I provided a link to the club if you want it. It’s by pixel dolly and be found at the graveyard. Also added a time line. Hover over the prompt table link and there you go. Added two more pics to unscripted as well. They made me LOL!

LOL!! As for the hair I did a search and came up empty! It was a hair I got from a downloaded Sim. It’s actually the same hair Buzz wears in Weapon of Choice. It’s Peggy/Juice hair. And I’m happy how he turned out! I finally got to use that skin that I downloaded from needlecream on LJ!
She redid it!
I think Franklin was just messing with her because he thought she didn’t know how to change(which she didn’t). Now though he might really stop pulling punches! We shall see! Mwahahaha!!

Oh the horror of a cliffhanger! I was so ready to see this fight go down -Alana was sho ’nuff stepping up and taking names- and tails- even though I knew you had already said this was a short one. Gah!

Yeah, he’s affiliated with Ethan. Ethan’s put a price on Alana’s head! Awesome for our girl right? Not!! And he was tracking her but wasn’t going to go against Caine(smart man). And he thought he’d get his bid in for mate first! LOL!!

Nolan is definitly giving it his all, even if he gets into the shit with Caine, hopefully he will at least get a little credit for that. And maybe someone lovely to take care of him while he recovers.
At least Alana isn’t going to have time to think about what just happened, somehow I can’t see her liking being in her other form.

Oh no! Nolan’s not dead. He’s the wolf with the white patches over his eyes. The one in the last shot is him!
Nolan wasn’t supposed to do anything but sit at the apartment and watch over Alana. However, he thought it would be a good idea(which it was in theory) to watch Caine’s back. Franklin been tracking them so it made it easier for him to pretend to be a taxi driver. And since he couldn’t smell him…
Alana is turning! YAY!!! Caine hasn’t arrived yet. He’s still following her scent! Next prompt he should be there!

OMG cliffhanger much???
Yeah for a minute there you had me going about Nolan, and that was not a good feeling. Franklin is a total creep, like anybody would want to live one minute next to that monster, much less forever. What is he getting out of this alliance with the Lycans though? He surely doesn’t need them.
I’m not sure what I hope for most here – that Alana will bite the shit out of somebody or that Caine will eat them all alive. Except Franklin since I suppose that’s not technically possible, since he isn’t.
Wonderful wonderful tense, descriptive writing – LOVE LOVE the detail about his nails on the dumpster and ‘sneak sneak’!! And the shots are incredible!!!

First of all, awesome work on the posing of the lycans in wolf form – it looks delightfully realistic! The shot with the old man made me giggle. LOL! Thanks Karen! I was kinda iffy about the new characters but I went with the flow of the story! This chapter was surprisingly easy to write. Ethan’s reach is long. But it’s not to say that everyone wants the same end result as he does!
